VARO S.r.l. was founded by Giuseppe Rota and initially the business was focused on making wire processing equipment and accessories. In the following years, VARO developed and made small, simple and accessory machines in wire processing.
Growing experience has allowed the machines to evolve into more and more complex and automated solutions, reaching a very high level of know-how in more than forty years of activity, which today allows the company to compete with the most important manufacturers of wire welding and bending machines.
Today VARO has 115 workers, an area of 15,000 square meters, 13 departments and unique knowledge in the field of automation in wire processing.
The company has reached a level of technology in recent years that enables it to compete globally with reliable, high-quality automatic machine production, especially used by manufacturers of materials in the field of concrete reinforcement, poultry and livestock cages, kitchen and household appliance accessories, furniture accessories and complements, wire mesh for fencing and safety guards.
VARO S.r.l. was established back in 1979. The company was founded by the current sole director Mr. Giuseppe Rota, who started the business with a partner. At that time, the business turned for the most part to the manufacture of wire processing equipment and accessories. In fact, our biggest customers were those companies that produced wire goods.
In the following years, VARO developed and made small, simple and accessory machines in wire processing. Growing experience has enabled the company to achieve a very high level of know-how in more than four decades of operation, which now allows it to compete with the leading manufacturers of wire welding and wire bending machines.

VARO’s evolution over more than four decades of activity resulted in the creation of ROTA Group during 2022, a company headed by VARO srl and the newly acquired OMCG Italia srl, a company specializing in the design and manufacture of CNC bending machines for wire, tube and metal strip parts.
VARO and OMCG keep their corporate identities and characteristics unchanged, but share know-how and technologies to improve each other and provide the market with increasingly high-performance automated wire processing solutions.
A synergy of excellence in wire processing
Today VARO can count on more than 115 employees and a production process divided into 13 departments, with a manager for each department and countless specializations: assemblers, electricians, milling turners, warehousemen, painters, and softwarmakers.
Strong internalization of processes, expansion of space, and investment in machinery and human resources were the focal points that determined VARO’s strategy and future achievements.
Having full control of all process stages, from design to installation, is a priority for VARO, which is why the company has expanded over the years and has internalized every stage of processing as much as possible, resulting in a marked change in the concept of VARO’s made in VARO.

In 1983 Varo expanded by taking on a new dimension and expanding to Fornaci Street. Varo snc is born.
Between 1989 and 1990, Varo moved to Santa Vecchia Street and hired more employees in the office and in production.
In 1996, Varo srl company of Giuseppe Rota and Nadia Magni was established.
Varo buys the first lot divided into two floors and differentiates the assembly, workshop, technical office, carpentry and electrical areas. Varo began to participate in trade fair events including the most important in Dusseldorf.
Varo purchases another part of the shed dedicated to painting and carpentry.
After the economic crisis Varo expands by purchasing 1,500sqm of shed. In 2016, the Varo3 department specializing in mechanics was established.
Purchasing new square meters and moving the carpentry and painting departments to larger facilities.
The Rota family, on the strength of VARO’s market position gained through more than four decades of continuous research and development, made the decision to create ROTA Group and proceed with the acquisition of OMCG Italia, an internationally established brand in the development of bending machines.
